'A Pilates Studio built on shared expertise, thoughtful instruction, and a supportive community
- where we achieve more together.'
Pilates Collective was born in November 2025 from a shared passion for Pilates and a deep connection to our community. We envisioned a space where every client would feel individually supported through small group classes or private instruction led by experienced, caring instructors.
Independently owned and operated in the heart of Central Alberta, Pilates Collective is shaped by the diverse group of people who walk through our doors. We welcome individuals, at every stage of their fitness journey, into a space designed for connection, support, and sustainable growth
—where strength is built together.

Burney began her movement journey as a professional dancer at the age of ten, developing a deep appreciation for both the artistry and physical demands of the body. Seeking a practice that was restorative yet highly effective, she discovered Pilates and quickly recognized its transformative potential.
After moving to Canada in 2020, Burney became a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor, experiencing firsthand how Pilates supported her strength, energy, and overall well-being. Her teaching is informed by her rich movement background and her own journey of transformation.
Burney is passionate about helping clients reconnect with their bodies, move with intention, and build strength that supports greater vitality and balance in everyday life.

With a Bachelor of Kinesiology and over three decades of experience in the fitness industry, Janine brings both expertise and heart to every class she teaches. She has been a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor since 2007 and is also a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP).
Janine blends scientific knowledge with mindful movement to help clients build confidence, strength, and ease in their bodies. Her teaching style is thoughtful, precise, and deeply supportive, creating an environment where clients feel seen, valued, and encouraged.
Passionate about Pilates’ ability to transform how people feel in their bodies, Janine supports clients both in and out of the studio as they work toward their personal best.
